My Father
My Father
By Diamonique C., 6th Grade, James Rhoads Elementary
Father, you hurt my feelings when you left.
You left me when I was just three years old.
Feelings are important when you get hurt inside.
After you left, my mom was mad on the outside,
And sad on the inside.
Time goes by, you still didn’t come see me.
How can you breathe at night,
When you didn’t come see me?
I know I can’t even.
I’m only twelve years old,
You can still come see me!
Really, my heart is breaking,
My hands are shaking,
And my head is going crazy.
I still miss seeing your face.
And out of the blue,
I have two new brothers and three new sisters…
But still don’t know you.
